Park City Day 6
So the screenings finished up yesterday morning… over all, feel pretty good about it. Wasn’t the biggest audience, but the film definitely seemed to resonate with the people it was supposed to. After Wednesday screening, I was walking down the street and ran into some people who had come to the Tuesday showing—they were full of questions about the film… really just wanted to talk about it…how about this scene? That was great when this happened… how about that line… where the heck did Michael get those hats!!!?
Anyhow… they said they had been talking about the film all night long, so a good sign and one that makes me happy for the right reasons, as I had pretty much approached this festival as a film festival rather than a marketing festival. My idea was to put the film out there, but let it be just a film for a while. I figure that there will be plenty of time down the road for making it a product, if that’s where the road leads.
Now…with my own screenings out of the way… now off to see some films… It is—after all— a film festival.
