STRONGMAN

Rooftop Screening, Saturday May 30th

It was pretty crazy to say the least!  The screening went really well, so thank you everyone for coming out.  It is truly a thrill and an honor to hear some of the things people said afterwards about the film.  I can’t say enough how much it means to us that people connect with the film in the ways they have.

Now the crazy part—- THE STUNT!!!!  I’m not sure I can put in words how many twists and turns went into pulling this off.  Between insurance problems, location problems and truck problems, it almost got cancelled about 4 or 5 times last week.  Each time, we found a way to go forward, but literally as the film started on Saturday night, none of us was sure it was going to happen.  I spent the second half of the film on the phone trying to desperately keep it all on track.   With about 10 minutes left in the film, Stan was on the road from Jersey, but only at Exit 11 on the Turnpike.  Stan started driving really fast.  Barbara called me from the road to say she was having a panic attack.   Stan calls out in the background— Don’t worry, everything’s fine.     Ben runs over from his place on Atlantic Avenue to try and guide Stan and Barbara to the right location.  As the Q & A started, they called and said they were approaching the Holland Tunnel.   I take questions from the audience.   Just as I take the last one— Ben sends me a text:  They had arrived— “All systems go!”
